Electrical Tester

Location – Oxfordshire or surrounding areas

About The Role

As a Roaming Tester, you will carry out electrical inspection and testing across industrial and manufacturing sites, completing EICRs in accordance with BS7671. This is a field-based role with occasional overnight stays, with hotel accommodation provided.

Specifically, Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

  • Completing EICRs in accordance with BS7671 on systems up to 1000V.
  • Conducting visual inspections and testing, accurately identifying and coding defects.
  • Producing accurate EICRs using electronic reporting software and test equipment.
  • Conducting emergency lighting testing to BS5266-1.
  • Carrying out safe electrical isolation procedures.
  • Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Following agreed schedules of works and maintaining safe working practices.
  • Working collaboratively with the adi Compliance 360 team and customers.
  • Travelling to industrial and manufacturing sites, with occasional overnight stays.

About You

We would like to hear from you if you have:

  • Previous experience in electrical inspection and testing and completing EICRs.
  • Experience working within manufacturing and industrial environments.
  • Level 3 Award in Initial and Periodic Electrical Inspection and Testing (2391 or 2394/5).
  • 18th Edition qualification and NVQ Level 3.
  • Good knowledge of BS7671.
  • Full UK Driving License.
  • Experience using thermal imaging equipment would be beneficial but is not essential.
