adi Electrical Compliance - Roaming Tester

Location - We are seeking candidates based in the Northwest to join our Electrical Compliance team.

About The Role

We are looking for a qualified 2391 Inspection & Testing Engineer to join our growing Electrical Compliance 360 team. In this role, you will carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) in accordance with BS7671, inspecting and testing low-voltage electrical installations across a range of industrial and manufacturing sites throughout the Northwest.

This is a field-based role including occasional overnight stays, where hotel accommodation will be provided.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

  • Completing electrical installation condition reports (EICR), in accordance with the IET wiring regulations BS7671, to systems up to 1000V, including newly installed and modified electrical systems.
  • Conduct visual inspections and testing to accurately code defects, with clear justification.
  • Produce detailed and accurate EICR’s using provided test equipment and electronic reporting software.
  • Conducting emergency light testing to BS5266-1
  • Performing and adhering to safe electrical isolation procedures.
  • Ensuring that all operational procedures, safe working practices, and H&S procedures are followed.
  • Completing any reasonable tasks assigned in accordance with your position, with the aim of adding value.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic diagrams and drawings.
  • Following a schedule of works as agreed with adi and our customers.
  • Working collaboratively within the adi compliance 360 team and reporting directly to your dedicated line manager.

About You

We would like to hear from you if you have:

  • Experience of electrical inspection and testing, completing electrical installation condition reports (EICR).
  • Knowledge and understanding of the IET Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
  • Experience of testing and inspection in the Manufacturing and Industrial sector is essential.
  • Level 3 Award in Initial and Periodic Electrical Inspection and Testing (2391 or 2394/5)
  • 18th edition qualified.
  • NVQ Level 3 qualification.
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Experience of using Thermal imaging test equipment would be beneficial but not essential
