Domestic Testers Required for a social housing projects in Ballymena / Belfast / Newtownabbey etc!! (Postcodes range from BT29 - BT41, you will work local area to you.)

Salary: £38,000–£40,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications along with Van, Fuel Card

Subcontractors: Also welcome – average day rate of £230/ Price work available

About The Role

Goom Electrical is a well established electrical company with projects spanning across the UK. Our Founder comes from the tools himself so understands the importance of high quality work and happiness within culture for our electricians is crucial.

We are hiring Domestic Electrician / Electrical Testers with experience carrying out EICRs and electrical testing within social housing or occupied residential properties.

You will be working on behalf of Housing Associations across Northern Ireland, delivering large-scale EICR programmes and associated remedial works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out EICR testing and electrical inspections in domestic properties
  • Complete electrical remedial works
  • Carry out fault finding and diagnostics
  • Undertake communal electrical works where required
  • Replace detectors where required
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with current regulations and company standards
  • Work professionally and respectfully within occupied properties
  • Maintain excellent customer service and communication with tenants and clients

Essential Requirements

  • Level 3 Electrical Qualification or equivalent
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • ECS Card, or willingness to obtain one
  • 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification, or willingness to book and work towards obtaining it
  • Previous experience as a qualified electrician
  • Experience carrying out EICRs / electrical testing
  • A professional approach and good customer service skills
