Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Working away will involve a mixture of individual nights and blocks of several days. There is no fixed pattern, although much of the travel is planned and booked months in advance.

The busiest periods tend to fall during school holidays, balanced with significant local work throughout the M4/M5 corridor.

When working away:

  • All business expenses are covered
  • Hotels are booked in advance by the company's Resourcing Team
  • A company credit card is provided for breakfast and evening meals
  • Company van and fuel card provided

Hours & Overtime

This is a 40-hour salaried position.

Due to the nature of the role, there isn't a fixed point after which additional weekday hours automatically become overtime.

Night and weekend shifts are rare. Where required, overtime is paid at time-and-a-half or double time, depending on when the work is undertaken.

What We're Looking For

All applicants must be time-served electricians and hold:

  • Level 3 Technical Certificate
  • Level 3 NVQ
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Relevant electrical inspection and testing experience
  • Experience completing EICRs or demonstrable equivalent experience
  • Electrical installation and remedial experience
  • Good reporting and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and confidently with customers
  • Flexibility to travel nationally and work away from home

Salary: £40,000-£50,000 Depending on Experience & Qualifications

Candidates at the top end of the salary range will need a Level 3 Inspection & Testing qualification, such as City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent, together with at least two years' demonstrable commercial inspection experience.

Don't Have Your 2391 Yet?

Don't let that stop you applying.

Experienced electricians who meet the core qualification requirements and already have relevant inspection experience will still be considered towards the lower end of the salary range.

Importantly, the company can provide technical training where required, including C&G 2391, subject to the appropriate training agreement.

Package & Benefits

Alongside a salary of £40,000-£50,000, the package includes:

  • Fully expensed company van
  • Hire vehicle provided until successful completion of probation
  • Fuel card
  • Option to apply for personal use of the permanent company van following probation
  • All hotels and business travel expenses covered
  • Company credit card for breakfast and evening meals when working away
  • Laptop and mobile phone
  • All test and access equipment provided
  • Uniform and PPE
  • Full H&S training including IPAF, PASMA and First Aid
  • Technical training and development where required
  • Healthcare cash plan
  • 24/7 GP service
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Pension
  • Employee rewards schemes
