Job Title
£60K On Target Earnings | Company Vehicle Provided | Permanent Position | Company Benefits & Holidays | Full-Time
From £40,000.00 basic with potential to earn up to £90,000.00
Role Overview
As an Electrical Testing & Inspection Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs), identifying defects, completing certification, and undertaking remedial works where required. You will play a key role in ensuring electrical installations remain safe, compliant, and fully operational.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) in accordance with current BS 7671 Wiring Regulations.
- Accurately identify, diagnose, and record electrical defects, faults, and non-compliances.
- Complete certification, reports, and associated documentation to a high professional standard.
- Carry out remedial works arising from inspection and testing results.
- Diagnose electrical faults and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with company policies and procedures.
- Deliver excellent customer service when interacting with tenants, clients, and colleagues.
- Manage your own workload effectively, meeting deadlines and productivity targets.
- Use tablet-based applications for certification, reporting, and job scheduling.

What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
- City & Guilds 2391, 2394/2395, or equivalent Inspection & Testing qualification.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
- Proven experience carrying out EICRs in both occupied and void properties.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining exceptional standards of workmanship and compliance.
- Comfortable using digital platforms and tablet-based software.
