About the Role
A well-established Fire Protection and Compliance company is looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Testing & Maintenance Engineer to support a growing portfolio of privately owned residential apartment blocks throughout London and the surrounding Home Counties.
This role will involve carrying out electrical testing, inspection, fault finding, repairs, and planned maintenance works across both communal areas and occupied residential properties. The successful candidate will enjoy a varied workload, working closely with property managers, residents, and internal compliance teams to ensure electrical safety standards are maintained.
Whilst not essential, candidates with experience in fire alarm installation, servicing, or maintenance will be highly regarded due to the nature of the client portfolio and wider fire protection services offered by the business.

Iβm in my final year doing Economics and I donβt know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer β it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) donβt need a masters. Letβs look at the ones youβd be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet β that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
