Salary: £17,938.20 - £21,371.40, dependent on experience and qualifications
Additional market supplement may be considered for this role depending upon experience and qualifications
Hours: 22.2 hours per week, permanent
Are you an experienced professional in the Electrical industry with a passion for teaching and mentoring? We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Electrical Tutor and Skills Coach to join The Isle of Wight College.
As a valued member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of learners across the Island. You will design and deliver engaging, high-quality learning materials tailored to a diverse range of learner needs, equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence required to progress successfully into their chosen careers within the electrical industry.
Key Responsibilities
As the Electrical Tutor and Skills Coach, you will:
- Deliver teaching, coaching, assessment and support throughout the learner journey.
- Create engaging, inclusive learning experiences to meet individual needs.
- Monitor learner progress, maintain records and support off-the-job training requirements.
- Provide effective coaching, feedback and tailored support to help learners achieve.
- Work closely with employers and stakeholders to support successful apprenticeships.
- Conduct workplace visits, reviews and observations to monitor development and gather evidence.
- Support learners to develop their Maths and English skills.
- Meet quality standards, KPIs and contribute to departmental and college success.
- Promote employer engagement and identify opportunities for new and repeat partnerships.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Level 2 Qualifications in English and Maths
- A Level 3 Electrical Qualification including the NVQ, or a related subject, or an equivalent relevant professional qualification
- Strong knowledge of general Electrical subjects
- Ability to maintain and adhere to Health & Safety Legislation to secure a safe Learner environment
- Knowledge of recent initiatives in curriculum development and design is desirable, but not essential
