Job Title: Assembler
Locations: Braintree
Pay: £13.31ph + Holiday, Pension and Adecco Benefits
Hours: Monday-Thursday 7:25am-16:30pm Friday 7:30am-13:10pm
Duration: Temporary to Permanent
About The Role
We are seeking an Assembler to join our client's team, responsible for the mechanical and electrical assembly, wiring, and testing of low-voltage distribution and panel boards.
This is a hands-on role where quality, safety, and attention to detail are critical. You will work to technical drawings and industry standards to deliver reliable, high-performance electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, wire, and test distribution boards and panel boards in line with guidelines
- Read and interpret electrical CAD drawings and wiring diagrams
- Select, check, and prepare components prior to build
- Assemble wiring looms using various cable crimping tools
- Carry out electrical testing including
- Diagnose and resolve wiring and assembly faults
- Maintain accurate production and test documentation
- Work independently and collaboratively to meet production targets

Desirable but not essential as full training provided for the right candidate:
- 18th Edition (BS 7671) knowledge or qualification
- Panel testing experience
- Proven experience in a low-voltage panel building environment
- Understanding of electrical systems and components
- Excellent attention to detail and quality focus
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Computer literacy
Working Environment
Primarily workshop-based with occasional site work
- Regular use of hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
- Safety-focused, team-oriented environment
