Electrical Engineer / Senior Engineer - Leeds

Leeds | Full-time | Hybrid & Flexible Working

We're recruiting for an Electrical Engineer or Senior Electrical Engineer to join a well-established engineering consultancy in Leeds.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a varied portfolio of high-profile, technically challenging projects across the built environment, including commercial, healthcare, residential, hotels, data centres, mission-critical and complex engineering schemes.

You'll join a collaborative and highly experienced electrical team, working alongside clients, contractors and multidisciplinary engineers to deliver high-quality, sustainable electrical solutions from initial concept through to completion.

The Role

Depending on your level, you'll take ownership of electrical design and project delivery, with Senior Engineers taking greater responsibility for technical leadership, project management and client relationships.

You'll be involved in:

  • Delivering electrical design projects from brief through to completion
  • Producing calculations, drawings and technical documentation
  • Working across LV distribution, lighting, earthing/protection and emergency/standby systems
  • Coordinating designs with MEP disciplines, specialist consultants and contractors
  • Reviewing contractor submissions and checking installations on site
  • Attending client and design team meetings
  • Supporting testing, commissioning and handover
  • Managing your workload and delivering projects to programme and quality standards
  • Supporting and mentoring junior engineers

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
