Electrical Technician Role
Bilfinger UK are looking for an Electrical Technician to join us at Koura Global in Runcorn.
Responsibilities
- Follow plant policies
- Calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and replace Electrical Equipment
- Maintain process equipment
- Perform required compliance testing and documentation
- Reduce cost of repairing equipment while maintaining or increasing the quality of repairs
- Work closely with plant operations to evaluate both routine and emergency instrument work
- Wear proper safety equipment in appropriate areas
- Be able to move around process equipment and confined spaces
- Check, examine, and record on Customer Databases (IT Averse)
- Comprehend technical drawings and other visual instructions
- Coordination with CTF Plant Engeneering Team
- Inspect equipment
- Install and dismantle equipment
- Maintain equipment
Experience
- Maintenance experience in the oil & gas, Chemical industry, or other regulated industry – Essential
- Extensive experience working in hazardous areas - Essential

Qualifications
- Relevant approved apprenticeship / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- Minimum City & Guilds 2391 Electrical Test and Inspection
- Hold a Full UK driving licence and to drive company vehicles where appropriate
- Detailed knowledge of DSEAR and ATEX legislation (COMPEX 01-04) – Essential
Working Hours
58 Hour Working Week (10 Weeks) Commencing 1st September 2026:
- Hours 37.5 Hours per week (Mon-Fri) PAYE (JIB Aligned)
- Hours 12.5 Hours per week (Mon -Fri) PAYE (JIB Aligned)
- Hours 6 Hours per week (Sat Morning) PAYE (JIB Aligned)
- Hours 2 Hours per week (Sat Afternoon) PAYE (JIB Aligned)
