DMH Electrical and Renewables is an MCS and NICEIC approved contractor specializing in electrical and renewable solar PV systems, based in the North East and operating across the UK. The team brings over a decade of experience in electrical work, solar PV, battery storage, and electric vehicle charging solutions. DMH Electrical and Renewables is committed to designing and installing high-quality renewable systems that support a more sustainable future. The company serves both domestic and commercial customers, focusing on reliable integrations and long-term performance. Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Electrician role based in Darlington. The Electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including solar PV arrays, battery storage units, and EV charging points for domestic and commercial clients. Daily tasks include conducting site surveys, wiring and configuring systems, testing and commissioning installations, and completing accurate documentation and reports. The role involves diagnosing electrical faults, performing routine maintenance, adhering to safety standards and regulations, and collaborating with colleagues and customers to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification. The Electrician will also support upgrades, system integrations, and occasional call-outs, maintaining a high level of customer service and technical quality.

  • Candidates should possess strong practical skills in Electricity and Electrical Work, including safe installation and wiring practices.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Maintenance & Repair and Troubleshooting to diagnose issues and restore systems efficiently.
  • Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Electrical Engineering to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and regulations.
  • Recognized electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent) and current BS 7671 Wiring Regulations certification are beneficial.
  • Experience with solar PV, battery storage, and EV charging installations, plus familiarity with MCS and NICEIC standards, is an advantage.
  • Ability to work safely on-site, use test equipment confidently, manage time effectively, and communicate clearly with customers and team members.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project locations as required.
