We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established building services contractor for an experienced and motivated Electrician to join their growing electrical team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrician with a strong commercial background to work across a variety of projects including schools, colleges, universities, NHS facilities, offices, and other commercial buildings.

As part of the electrical department, you will work alongside both the maintenance and project teams, delivering high-quality electrical installations, testing, and maintenance work across a range of commercial environments.

Your new role

  • Carrying out electrical installation work on commercial and public sector properties
  • Working on refurbishment, maintenance, and project-based schemes
  • Testing, inspection, and fault-finding of electrical systems
  • Ensuring all work complies with current electrical regulations and health & safety standards
  • Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and specifications
  • Completing work safely and efficiently within project deadlines
  • Liaising with site teams, supervisors, and clients when required

What you'll need to succeed

  • ECS Gold Card
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent electrical qualification
  • City & Guilds 2330, 2360 or equivalent
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
  • 2391 Inspection & Testing Qualification (preferable)
  • Strong knowledge of current IEE Wiring Regulations and amendments
  • Minimum 4 years' post-qualification experience
  • Proven experience within commercial electrical environments
  • Excellent understanding of health & safety procedures and risk assessments
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
