EV Installation Engineer – Join Riviera Electrical

Are you a qualified EV Installation Engineer looking for your next opportunity?

Due to continued growth and increasing demand for electric vehicle charging infrastructure, Riviera Electrical are looking for skilled, motivated, and customer-focused EV Installation Engineers to join our team across Devon and the South West.

We are offering:

About the Role

As an EV Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance of electric vehicle charging equipment at domestic and commercial properties.

You will be representing Riviera Electrical on-site, delivering high-quality installations while providing excellent customer service and ensuring all work complies with current industry standards and regulations.

  • Installation and commissioning of EV charging equipment at domestic and commercial premises.
  • Conducting site assessments and identifying suitable cable routes and charger locations.
  • Installing containment systems, cabling, protective devices, and associated electrical infrastructure.
  • Testing and inspecting completed installations.
  • Completing all certification and commissioning documentation accurately.
  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out remedial works where required.
  • Ensuring compliance with BS7671 Wiring Regulations, manufacturer requirements, and health and safety procedures.
  • Providing clear handovers and demonstrations to customers following installation.
  • Maintaining company standards of workmanship, professionalism, and customer care.

Requirements

Essential

  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • Experience in carrying out electrical EV installations.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.

  • EV Charging Qualification (City & Guilds 2919 or equivalent).
  • Inspection and Testing Qualification (2391 or equivalent).
  • ECS Gold Card.
  • Experience installing EV charge points, including:
    • Hypervolt
    • Ohme
    • Zappi
    • Easee

Salary: £38,000-42,000 per year basic (depending on experience, qualifications)

Work Location

Field-based across Devon and the South West.
