Job Title: Data Centre Electrician

This role is for a hands-on working electrician to carry out:
- Planned preventative maintenance
- Electrical projects
- Electrical extra Works
- Reactive and breakdown works across all electrical systems
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that routine maintenance is carried out to all electrical plant, equipment, and systems in accordance with task schedules and asset lists.
- All reactive tasks throughout the building are completed, proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults, replacing faulty components and/or wiring.
- Test electrical systems and equipment to ensure they meet safety standards and regulations.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant building regulations and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including inspections, tests, and repairs.
- Ensure electrical plant faults and defects are swiftly remedied to maintain all year up time.
- Ensure RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) are prepared and used for all tasks undertaken to always ensure safe working practices.
- Supervising and monitoring of sub-contractor works whilst they are on site undertaking maintenance/fixes, keeping them honest. Ensuring permits and RAMS are adhered to.
- Ensure that all critical areas, under the responsibility of CBRE, are locked and kept in a clean and tidy condition.
- Understand the business systems, processes and procedures associated to the site.
- Ensure the provision of a safe and healthy working environment.
- Highlight gaps across the critical spares to the operations manager.
- Build and develop relationships with all on-site CBRE staff, sub-contractors, and client representatives.
- Ensure the professional image of CBRE is always presented to the client and sub-contractors.
- Undertake lone working where required.
- Participate in EOP/SOP scenario type training and undertake technical assessment tests.
- Undertake other tasks directed by the account management team.

Skills
- Formal electrical qualification, BS7671 18th edition regulations (amendment 3) and City and Guilds 2391 test and inspection.
- Good communication etiquette.
- Team player.
- Able to multitask and prioritise workload.
- Committed to the delivery of excellent customer service.
- Calm manner, able to work under pressure and make sound decisions when needed.
- Physically fit and able to carry tools and components by hand up to 20kg.
- Able to work at heights.
- Log 4 x constructive and positive observations.
- Obtain full Security Clearance.
Additional
- Liaising with external security teams for clearance/vetting.
- Actively identify and implement innovation across the contract to enhance performance and continue to exceed the client’s expectations.
- Promote and maintain CBRE work ethics and culture, following the RISE values.
- High level of trust and integrity whilst handling confidential information.
- Obtain full Security Clearance.
