Pertemps are recruiting for an Electrician to join a leading school based near Andover

This is a full-time permanent position. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, testing, and repair of electrical systems and equipment across the site.

Responsibilities as an Electrician:

  • Assemble, install, test, certify, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and appliances.
  • Install and maintain three-phase and single-phase control gear for motors, pumps, and fans.
  • Inspect, diagnose, test systems.
  • Assist the IT Department with wiring and cabling.
  • Carry out PAT testing.
  • Plan and coordinate routine electrical testing.
  • Maintain records of all testing and certification.
  • Ensure the school is fully registered with NICEIC or a similar regulatory body.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Electrician
  • Good working knowledge of installation BS 7671
  • Level 3 qualification for inspection, testing, and installation
  • Experience of EICR
  • Ability to work to RAMS
  • Capable of emergency electrical triage
  • Own transport due to the rural location

The Role:

  • Competitive salary - £33,000 - £40,000 negotiable depending on experience
  • Monday – Friday, 7am – 3.30pm
  • 28 days holiday plus bank holidays
