Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled, fully qualified and dedicated Electrician to join our family-run team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electrical systems and be proficient in using hand tools and power tools. This role requires a commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
This is a full-time role offering a competitive salary, a company van, and excellent opportunities. However, we would consider flexible/reduced working hours to the right candidate as part of our modern approach to sustainable working lifestyle.
Your day-to-day will be varied and highly rewarding, requiring a broad spectrum of technical skills without the burden of long distance as most of our work is local.
There is scope in the future to move into a supervisory role for the right individual or immediately if relevant experience is held as this could be a Senior Electrician role from the outset.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in domestic, residential, and commercial settings. Currently, our work is largely domestic/residential
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine layout and installation procedure and ensure accurate delivery of projects.
- Perform EICRS, Troubleshoot electrical issues by diagnosing faults and implementing effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and electrical codes during all work activities.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently.
- Collaborate with other colleagues and also other tradespeople to coordinate work on larger projects but also able to be self-motivated in working individually to get all jobs completed in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Electrician or in a similar role is essential.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and safety standards.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools related to electrical work.
- Ability to read technical documents and schematics accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in electrical installation or maintenance required.

Requirements
- Must hold NVQ Level 2 & 3 and have completed AM2.
- Must hold City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent) Test and Inspection certification.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
