JME Energy Ltd is looking for an experienced, reliable subcontract electrician to support our expanding workload across the South West.
We specialise in renewable energy installations alongside domestic and commercial electrical work. With a strong pipeline of projects, we're seeking skilled electricians who take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
This is an excellent opportunity for self-employed electricians looking for consistent work with a professional and supportive company.
The Role
You'll be carrying out a variety of work including:
- Solar PV installations
- Battery storage systems
- EV charger installations
- Consumer unit upgrades
- Domestic and commercial electrical installations
- Testing, inspection and fault finding
- Electrical maintenance and remedial work

Work will vary from renewable energy projects to general electrical contracting, providing plenty of variety.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Fully qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
- 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification (or equivalent)
- ECS Gold Card
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Own tools
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Excellent workmanship and customer service skills
Preferred but not essential:
- Solar PV installation experience
- Battery storage and EV charger installation experience
- Experience working on commercial electrical projects
- IPAF and PASMA certifications
