Role Description
The Electrician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Irvinestown. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in accordance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Interpreting technical drawings and plans.
- Performing inspections, diagnosing faults, and carrying out troubleshooting to ensure safe and efficient operation of electrical installations.
- Working with other team members and contractors.
- Preparing materials and tools.
- Completing documentation such as work reports and safety checks.
- Following all health and safety procedures and contributing to a safe working environment.

- Strong practical skills in electricity and electrical work, including safe handling of electrical systems and components.
- Experience with maintenance & repair of electrical installations, equipment, and wiring in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
- Ability to perform troubleshooting on electrical faults, diagnose issues efficiently, and implement effective solutions.
- Knowledge of basic electrical engineering principles relevant to installation, testing, and fault-finding.
- Recognized electrical trade qualification, apprenticeship completion, or equivalent vocational training.
- Up-to-date understanding of electrical codes, industry standards, and health and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally to job sites as required.
