In Scope
The successful candidates will lead and undertake a wide range of electrical activities within an industrial environment, including installation, commissioning, fault-finding, maintenance and repair. You will work in accordance with current legislation, regulations, local standards and established safe systems of work.
Key Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for the installation phase of projects, ensuring Safe Systems of Work are followed and work is delivered safely, to plan and within agreed timescales.
- Lead installation teams where required, providing direction and support to team members.
- Install indoor and outdoor electrical distribution equipment in compliance with current regulations and local standards.
- Undertake the construction, wiring and commissioning of electrical control cubicles.
- Carry out testing, commissioning and fault-finding on a range of electrical control and distribution equipment.
- Set work and provide guidance and supervision to less experienced electricians and electrical apprentices.
- Work across a variety of projects and with diverse teams throughout the site.
- Prioritise daily tasks and allocate work to team members in line with the appropriate project work plan.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety at all times.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with relevant safety procedures, legislation, regulations and written safe systems of work.

Essential Requirements
- Valid ECS Gold Card.
- Demonstrable ability to work safely in accordance with a Written Safe System of Work (WSSOW).
- Previous electrical experience within an industrial or commercial environment.
- Ability to work effectively and communicate as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and balance workloads effectively.
- Ability to work safely, efficiently and to agreed timescales.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Desirable Requirements
- Previous supervisory experience, including leading or supporting electrical installation teams.
- Knowledge and experience of working with large electrical distribution networks.
- Experience of providing guidance, support or supervision to apprentices and less experienced electricians.
- Experience working across multiple projects within a large industrial or complex site environment.
