About The Role:

Working as part of our Technical Services mobile team, you will support a major retail contract, with opportunities to work across other commercial and residential contracts within our continually expanding division.

This is a mobile role, carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and electrical works across a portfolio of customer sites. You will play an important part in ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards, while delivering excellent service to our customers.

You will also participate in the call-out rota, currently averaging 1 week in every 4.

Working Pattern: 0800-1630

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out PPM, proactive and reactive maintenance works issued through the helpdesk within agreed timescales.
  • Diagnose electrical faults and complete repairs safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure equipment and surrounding areas are maintained to agreed company and customer standards.
  • Undertake contractor control duties on behalf of the client, including monitoring contractors and the quality of completed works.
  • Ensure the correct servicing and maintenance of equipment under contract.
  • Complete all works in accordance with current Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
  • Support the delivery of contracted services, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
  • Accurately update job information and completed works using handheld devices and relevant systems.
  • Provide a professional service when dealing with customers, colleagues and contractors.
  • Participate in the call-out rota, currently averaging 1 week in every 4.

What We’re Looking For

  • A qualified electrician with experience carrying out electrical maintenance, fault finding and repairs.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently across a mobile portfolio of customer sites.
  • Good communication and customer-service skills.
  • Comfortable using handheld devices and basic IT systems.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Previous Facilities Management experience would be desirable.

Essential Qualifications

  • Level 3 Electrical Apprenticeship or equivalent recognised electrical qualification.
  • AM2 qualification.
  • Current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
  • Valid and in-date Grade Card/CSCS Card or equivalent.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

  • 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification or equivalent.
  • Previous Facilities Management experience.
  • Experience carrying out PPM and reactive electrical maintenance within commercial environments.
  • Previous experience working within a mobile engineering role.
