Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Electrician role based in Greenock. The Electrician will carry out installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and residential environments, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting technical drawings, installing wiring and equipment, performing diagnostic tests, and troubleshooting electrical faults. The role involves conducting routine inspections, identifying potential issues, and implementing preventive measures to maintain system safety and reliability. The Electrician will work closely with supervisors, engineers, and other team members to deliver projects on time, support client requirements, and complete accurate documentation of all work performed.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in electricity principles and safe electrical work practices.
- Proficiency in electrical work, including installation, development, and system upgrades.
- Experience in maintenance & repair of electrical systems and equipment.
- Ability to perform effective troubleshooting of electrical faults and performance issues.
- Understanding of electrical engineering concepts relevant to building and industrial systems.
- Recognized electrical trade qualification or apprenticeship completion.
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK electrical regulations and standards (e.g., BS 7671).
- Valid electrician certification and, where applicable, ECS/CSCS card.
- Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with clear and professional communication.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to client sites as required.
- Previous experience in commercial or industrial electrical projects is advantageous.
