Electrician
ROLE: Electrician
PAY RATE: Competitive salary
CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent
LOCATION: Weymouth
The Role:
The successful candidate will carry out domestic electrical installations, inspection, testing, maintenance, and associated electrical works across residential properties.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical services while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with current regulations and British Standards. The role will involve working closely with customers and colleagues to maintain excellent service standards and ensure all ongoing work requirements are managed effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out domestic electrical installations across residential properties.
- Conduct electrical inspection and testing in accordance with British Standards.
- Complete all relevant certification, documentation, and records accurately.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults and installation issues.
- Ensure all electrical work is completed safely and in compliance with current regulations.
- Deliver high standards of workmanship across all projects.
- Liaise with colleagues to ensure all work is completed efficiently and ongoing requirements are recorded appropriately.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers and team members.
- Work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a wider team.
- Participate in the regional out-of-hours standby rota when required.

- Follow all company health and safety procedures.
- Ensure all electrical works are completed in accordance with current regulations and safe systems of work.
- Comply with all site-specific procedures, risk assessments, and company policies.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and professional conduct.
- Report any defects, hazards, or safety concerns promptly.
- Meet all face fit requirements where applicable.

Essential Requirements
- Fully qualified Electrician.
- AM2 qualification (or equivalent).
- City & Guilds 2391 qualification (or equivalent).
- Previous experience carrying out domestic electrical installations.
- Experience conducting electrical inspection and testing in line with British Standards.
- Strong understanding of electrical regulations and health and safety requirements.
- Excellent fault-finding, installation, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Flexible approach to work, including participation in the out-of-hours standby rota.
- Right to Work documentation.
