Role Description
The Electrician role at Aureos is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Glasgow Area. The Electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment across energy and transport-related infrastructure, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company standards.

- Conducting routine inspections
- Diagnosing faults
- Performing preventive and corrective maintenance
- Supporting project-based installation and commissioning work
The Electrician will interpret technical drawings and documentation, complete accurate records of work, and collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other trade professionals on site. The role may involve working in varied environments, responding to urgent issues, and supporting continuous improvement in safety and reliability.
Qualifications
- Strong practical electrical installation and maintenance skills, including experience with wiring, cable routing, and electrical panels.
- Competency in fault-finding, testing, and inspection of electrical systems using appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Knowledge of relevant electrical standards, regulations, and safety practices (e.g., BS 7671 or equivalent), with a strong focus on safe systems of work.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, work instructions, and engineering documentation.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and site personnel, and to complete clear work reports.
- Recognized electrical apprenticeship, NVQ/City & Guilds, or equivalent vocational qualification in Electrical Installation or Electrical Engineering is highly beneficial.
- Experience in industrial, infrastructure, or utilities environments (such as power, rail, highways, or renewables) is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in varying conditions, follow health and safety procedures, and use PPE appropriately is required.
- A valid driver’s license and flexibility to travel to different sites within the Greater Glasgow Area and surrounding regions is beneficial.
