Annual salary: up to £43,251.55
Electrician
Location: Coatbridge
Contract: Fixed Term Contract until 31 October 2027
Salary: £43,251.55 per annum, based on 38.5 hours per week, plus overtime opportunities, company van and fuel card
Working Hours: 8:00am to 8:00pm, working across a four day shift pattern.
We are looking for a qualified Electrician to join our team on a fixed term basis, delivering high-quality electrical repairs, maintenance and testing services across domestic social housing properties. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a customer-focused environment where safety, quality and service are at the heart of everything we do.
The successful candidate will carry out a mixture of reactive and planned works across occupied and void properties, ensuring all electrical installations and repairs are completed to a high standard and in accordance with current regulations.
About the Role:
As an Electrician, you will be responsible for carrying out electrical repairs, maintenance, inspection and testing within social housing properties. You will work safely and efficiently while delivering excellent customer service and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company procedures.
- Carry out electrical repairs and maintenance works within social housing properties
- Complete inspection and testing of electrical installations
- Ensure all work is completed in line with Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and BS 7671 requirements
- Maintain accurate paperwork and electronic records for all completed work
- Identify and report any additional work required through the correct authorisation process
- Manage materials and van stock in line with company procedures
- Attend training sessions, meetings and toolbox talks as required
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional approach at all times
- Report any safeguarding concerns in accordance with company policy
- Maintain company vehicle in line with company requirements
- Participate in emergency call out cover when required

Key Criteria:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations including AM2
- City & Guilds 18th Edition qualification (or willingness to achieve 18th Edition where currently holding 17th Edition)
- Inspection and Testing 2391 or equivalent qualification (2394/2395)
- Previous domestic and social housing experience
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Experience carrying out electrical repairs, maintenance and testing
