Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Electrician role based in Oxford. The Electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment within commercial and industrial buildings, following relevant regulations and company standards. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting technical drawings, wiring and cabling, testing and inspecting electrical installations, and diagnosing faults. The role involves troubleshooting electrical issues, performing scheduled and reactive maintenance, and ensuring work areas are safe and compliant. The Electrician will collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other trades to complete projects on time and provide reliable service to clients.

- Strong foundation in electricity principles and practical electrical work skills.
- Experience in maintenance & repair of electrical systems and components.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical faults and diagnosing system issues.
- Knowledge of electrical engineering concepts relevant to building services.
- Recognized electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
- Valid industry certifications and up-to-date knowledge of UK electrical regulations (e.g., BS 7671).
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and specifications accurately.
- Strong attention to safety, with experience working to health and safety standards and risk assessments.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to various sites in and around Oxford as required.
