Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Electrician role based in Gillingham. The Electrician will carry out a variety of electrical tasks, including installations, repairs, rewires, and upgrades for residential and commercial properties. Day-to-day responsibilities include diagnosing electrical issues, performing maintenance work, testing systems for safety and compliance, and completing necessary documentation. The role also involves interacting with clients, explaining work clearly, providing accurate estimates, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment. The Electrician will be expected to follow relevant regulations, company policies, and health and safety standards while working independently or as part of a team.

  • Strong practical skills in electricity and electrical work, with the ability to perform safe and compliant installations.
  • Experience in maintenance & repair and troubleshooting of electrical systems in residential and commercial settings.
  • Knowledge of electrical engineering principles and applicable regulations, standards, and safety codes.
  • Relevant vocational qualifications or certifications in electrical installation (e.g., recognized electrician apprenticeship, trade certification).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
  • Good communication and customer service skills, with a professional and reliable approach to client interactions.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and commitment to safe working practices.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally to client sites as required.
