Role Description
The Electrician role at J E C SPARKS LTD is a full-time, on-site position based in London. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Performing electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs in residential and commercial properties
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with relevant standards and regulations
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical issues
- Carrying out testing and inspection
- Providing clear documentation of completed work

The role involves working closely with block management companies, developers, and builders, coordinating with other trades as needed, and maintaining a strong focus on safety, reliability, and customer service. The Electrician is expected to manage their workload efficiently, respond to call-outs when required, and uphold the company’s professional reputation on every job.
Qualifications
- Strong practical skills in electricity and electrical work, with proven experience in installations and wiring
- Solid maintenance & repair skills, including routine servicing and corrective work on electrical systems
- Troubleshooting abilities to diagnose faults, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions
- Knowledge of electrical engineering principles relevant to building services and safe system design
- Up-to-date industry certifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent) and familiarity with UK wiring regulations (BS 7671)
- Strong commitment to health and safety, including the use of appropriate PPE and adherence to risk assessments and method statements
- Good communication skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a professional approach when interacting with clients and partners
