As demand for our domestic maintenance & testing services continues to grow, we’re looking for an experienced Domestic Electrician to join our team.
The Role
This is a hands-on role focused on day-to-day domestic electrical maintenance and repairs in occupied properties. You’ll be attending jobs such as fault finding, repairs, small installs and upgrades, and general electrical maintenance—delivering a great service and leaving every job safe, tidy, and compliant.

Key Responsibilities
- Domestic Fault Finding & Repairs – Diagnose and repair electrical faults quickly and safely in domestic properties
- Reactive Maintenance – Attend day-to-day maintenance jobs including power outages, tripping circuits, lighting faults, socket issues, and damaged accessories
- EICRS – Carry out EICRs and remedial repairs
- Small Works & Upgrades – Carry out minor installation works such as replacing accessories, adding sockets, upgrading lighting, and improving existing circuits
- Customer Liaison – Communicate professionally with homeowners/tenants, explaining work clearly and providing a reassuring service
- Documentation – Complete job sheets and any required certification accurately and on time
- Quality Standards – Maintain excellent workmanship, tidy working practices, and a “right first time” approach
- Safety Compliance – Work in line with current regulations and company health & safety procedures
- Team Collaboration – Work closely with the office and wider team to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and customers are kept informed

Essential Requirements
- Valid electrical qualifications (NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent)
- Proven experience in domestic maintenance / reactive repairs and carrying out EICRs
- Current ECS card
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong knowledge of current electrical regulations (18th Edition) and safe working practices
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied daily workload
- 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification or equivalent would be advantageous although not Essential
