Electrician - Domestic Work (Long-Term Contract)
Location: Chichester & Surrounding Areas
Pay: £500 - £720 per week - Weekly Pay
Hours: Monday - Friday - 8:00am - 4:30pm

Are you an experienced domestic electrician looking for stable, long-term work with consistent jobs and a supportive team? We're recruiting for a role offering ongoing work for at least 12 months, covering a variety of domestic electrical tasks across Chichester and nearby areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out full and partial rewires of domestic properties, with a strong focus on kitchen and bathroom adaptations and upgrades.
- Install, modify, and upgrade electrical circuits, consumer units, sockets, lighting, extractors, and related accessories in kitchens and bathrooms.
- Perform first-fix and second-fix electrical work in coordination with plumbers, joiners, tilers, and other trades.
- Complete inspection, testing, and certification of electrical installations in line with the current edition of BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations) and Building Regulations Part P.
- Issue Electrical Installation Certificates (EICs) and, where required, contribute to Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs).
- Diagnose and rectify electrical faults in domestic settings.
- Maintain accurate records, complete relevant paperwork, and ensure all work is properly notified or self-certified as appropriate.
- Follow safe isolation procedures, risk assessments, and method statements at all times.
- Occasionally undertake light commercial electrical work as required.
- Provide a professional and courteous service to customers while working in occupied and void properties.

Essential Requirements
- Qualified electrician with relevant Level 3 electrotechnical qualifications.
- Current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Inspection & Testing qualification (City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent) preferred.
- Experience of domestic rewires and kitchen/bathroom electrical adaptations.
- Ability and willingness to work collaboratively with other trades on site.
- Full UK driving licence and reliable transport.
- Strong understanding of health & safety, including safe isolation and working in occupied homes.

Desirable
- Previous experience working in multi-trade environments (e.g. kitchen/bathroom refurbishments).
- ECS Gold Card (Domestic Electrician or Installation Electrician).
- Experience of light commercial work.
