Role Description
This full-time Electrician / EV Engineer role is a hybrid position based in the London Area, United Kingdom, with a mix of on-site work and some work from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Installing, testing, and commissioning EV charging points in domestic and commercial environments.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant electrical and safety regulations.
- Diagnosing and repairing faults.
- Performing routine maintenance.
- Updating or configuring charging point software.
- Liaising with customers, surveying sites, preparing basic documentation, and coordinating with the wider team to deliver projects on time and to high quality standards.

Qualifications
- Practical electrical skills, including EV charge point installation, fault finding, testing, and commissioning.
- Knowledge of current electrical regulations (e.g., BS 7671), safety standards, and best practices for domestic and commercial installations.
- Experience using electrical testing equipment and tools, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly and professionally.
- Basic IT literacy and familiarity with EV charging software, mobile apps, and digital reporting tools.
- Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent) and valid industry certifications; ECS/CSCS card is beneficial.
- Full, clean UK driving license and willingness to travel within the London Area and occasionally nationwide.
- Ability to work safely and independently, manage workloads, and collaborate effectively in a hybrid work environment.
- Previous experience in EV charging, renewable energy, or related electrical installations is an advantage.
