Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Electrician role covering the East Midlands areas. The Electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Daily tasks include:

The role also involves:

  • Troubleshooting electrical issues
  • Performing routine inspections
  • Ensuring all work complies with relevant regulations BS 7671 18th edition regulations and company standards
  • Collaborating with colleagues
  • Communicating clearly with clients
  • Maintaining accurate records of work completed

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of electricity principles and safe working practices around electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in electrical work, including installation, wiring, and commissioning of electrical equipment.
  • Experience in maintenance & repair of electrical systems, with the ability to perform routine and preventive tasks.
  • Effective troubleshooting skills for identifying, diagnosing, and resolving electrical faults.
  • Understanding of electrical engineering concepts relevant to system design, load calculations, and compliance.
  • Recognized electrical qualifications or apprenticeship completion, with appropriate certifications or licenses.
  • Familiarity with UK electrical regulations and standards (e.g., BS 7671) and health and safety requirements.
  • Ability to use electrical testing tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the capacity to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally to client sites as required.
