Renewable Green Energy Limited (RGE) is a TrustMark-certified retrofit installer delivering high-quality, compliant low-carbon installations across domestic and social housing sectors. The company specializes in PAS 2030/2035 and MCS accredited measures, including insulation, heating controls, electric storage heaters, solar PV, and air source heat pumps. RGE provides end-to-end submission pack creation and compliance support for schemes such as ECO4, GBIS, ORP, BUS, and GHW. Applicants joining RGE will be part of a team focused on improving energy efficiency and supporting sustainable housing. Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Electrician role based in Wales, United Kingdom. The Electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment associated with low-carbon and retrofit projects in domestic and social housing properties. Daily tasks include conducting electrical inspections, troubleshooting faults, performing safe and compliant wiring, and supporting the installation of technologies such as electric storage heaters, solar PV, and heating controls. The role involves working closely with retrofit coordinators and other trades to ensure installations meet PAS and MCS requirements, as well as scheme-specific standards. The Electrician will also complete accurate documentation, follow safety protocols, and engage with residents in a professional and respectful manner.

Qualifications

- Strong foundational knowledge of electricity and electrical engineering, with the ability to apply principles to domestic and low-carbon installations.
- Proficiency in electrical work including wiring, installation of equipment, and safe operation of tools and testing devices.
- Experience in maintenance & repair of electrical systems, including preventive servicing and corrective actions.
- Effective troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving electrical faults and performance issues.
- Recognized electrical qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent) and relevant UK electrical certifications.
- Thorough understanding of UK electrical regulations, safety standards, and best practices, including working to PAS and MCS guidelines.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to sites across Wales.
- Ability to work safely on-site, communicate clearly with colleagues and residents, and maintain accurate records and reports.
- Experience in retrofit, renewable energy, or social housing environments is an advantage.
