LS Elec Ltd is a NICEIC Approved electrical contractor specialising in commercial electrical installations, fire safety, and compliance services. The company delivers EICRs, remedial works, commercial fit-outs, fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, EV charging solutions, and reactive electrical maintenance. Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Electrician role based in Peterborough. The Electrician will carry out commercial electrical installations, including wiring, lighting, and power distribution, in accordance with current regulations and company standards. Day-to-day tasks include performing EICRs, identifying and completing remedial works, and installing and maintaining fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, and EV charging points. The role also involves reactive maintenance, fault-finding, and troubleshooting to ensure safe and continuous operation of electrical systems for clients. The Electrician will work closely with project managers and other team members, maintain accurate documentation, and follow health and safety procedures on all sites.

  • Strong knowledge of electricity principles and electrical engineering fundamentals relevant to commercial installations.
  • Proficiency in electrical work, including installation, testing, inspection, and certification in line with industry standards.
  • Experience in maintenance & repair of electrical systems, including planned and reactive maintenance in commercial settings.
  • Effective troubleshooting skills to diagnose faults and implement safe, efficient solutions.
  • Recognised electrical qualifications (e.g., Level 3 NVQ or equivalent) and current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
  • Previous experience with EICRs, fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, and commercial installation projects is highly beneficial.
  • NICEIC experience or similar approved contractor background is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of health and safety requirements, ability to read technical drawings, and strong attention to detail.
  • Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites within the Peterborough area.
