We’re recruiting a Multi-Skilled Electrician to join our Property Services team, carrying out electrical repairs, maintenance, testing and small installations across our housing stock. About The Role - Multi-Skilled Electrician
As a Multi-Skilled Electrician, you’ll carry out domestic electrical repairs, maintenance, fault-finding, testing and small installations across Progress Housing Group properties.

This is a hands-on, field-based Electrician role covering occupied and void properties. You’ll help keep homes safe, compliant and comfortable, while supporting responsive repairs and efficient void turnaround.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carrying out domestic electrical repairs, maintenance and small electrical installations
- Diagnosing electrical faults and completing repairs right first time wherever possible
- Completing electrical inspection and testing, including EICR work, where qualified
- Ensuring work is completed safely and in line with BS7671 Wiring Regulations
- Working safely and respectfully in tenants’ homes
- Supporting void property turnaround by completing electrical works efficiently for faster re-lets
- Using mobile technology to manage and update jobs in real time
- Completing basic making-good (minor joinery/plumbing) where required
- Participating in the on-call rota (1 in 20 weeks approx)
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a qualified Electrician with strong domestic electrical experience, good fault-finding skills and a customer-focused approach to working in people’s homes.
Essential Skills & Experience
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
- City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing or equivalent)
- Strong electrical repairs, maintenance and installation experience
- Excellent electrical fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Experience working in occupied/tenanted properties
- Confident using mobile job management systems
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to participate in on-call rota
Desirable
- Experience in social housing or local authority maintenance
