Serco: AASC Field Based – covering Warrington & surrounding areas
Permanent, Full Time - Flexible 3 shift pattern (Mon-Fri but with the option of 08:00-16:00, 09:00-17:00 or 10:00-18:00)
£41,500 - £44,500 per annum + Company Van & Fuel Card
On Call Allowance £205 per call out + time and a half overtime pay

As an Electrician in our Justice and Immigration Asylum Accommodation and Support Services (AASC) team, you’ll help keep homes safe, compliant, and fit for purpose across the region.
You’ll work across occupied domestic properties, supported by an experienced team and clear processes. No chasing work. No guesswork. Just meaningful electrical work that has a positive impact on communities and the people who live there.
What you’ll do as an Electrician
- Carry out reactive and remedial electrical works across domestic properties, including power, lighting, fire alarms, emergency lighting, and heating systems
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently, getting systems back up and running safely
- Complete inspection, testing, and certification, including Minor Installation Certificates, Electrical Installation Condition Reports, fire alarm, and emergency lighting certification
- Work closely with housing and maintenance teams to gain access, coordinate jobs, and deliver work right first time
- Maintain high health and safety standards by reviewing property risk reports and following safe systems of work
- Represent Serco professionally on site, acting in line with our values of Trust, Care, Pride, and Innovation

Does this sound like you?
You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have…
- A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel within the region
- City and Guilds Electrical Installation Level 3 (2365 or 2330) or equivalent
- City and Guilds 18th Edition (2382) and Inspection and Testing qualification (2391 or 2391/52) – preferable not essential
- Solid experience working in domestic dwellings, including fault finding, repairs, and certification
- A practical, safety focused approach and pride in delivering quality work
Vetting and checks
This role requires BPSS clearance, which involves identity verification, employment history, and criminal record checks to meet government security standards. An Occupational Health Questionnaire will also be required to ensure we can offer appropriate support for your wellbeing and performance.
