Supervisor Electrician – Renewables
Wright Renewables is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Supervisor Electrician to join our team.
This is a hybrid, hands-on supervisory role, ideal for an experienced electrician who enjoys working on the tools but is also ready to take responsibility for supervising installations, supporting engineers and ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard.
You’ll work closely with and report directly to our Electrical Manager, helping to deliver renewable energy projects across Yorkshire, Notts, and surrounding areas.
The Role
As Supervisor Electrician, you will:
- Carry out electrical installation work across solar PV, battery storage, EV charging and heat pump systems
- Supervise and support electricians and installation teams on site
- Ensure installations are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
- Carry out testing, inspection and fault finding
- Assist with commissioning and handover of renewable energy systems
- Ensure installations comply with BS 7671, MCS requirements and relevant regulations
- Complete electrical certification and site documentation
- Liaise with customers, suppliers and other trades where required
- Identify and resolve technical issues on site
- Support the Electrical Manager with the day-to-day running of electrical projects
- Help maintain high standards of workmanship, health & safety and customer service

About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- A qualified electrician with strong practical experience
- Experienced in renewable energy installations
- Confident supervising other electricians and leading by example
- Comfortable working independently and making decisions on site
- Experienced with solar PV and battery storage
- Ideally experienced with EV chargers and heat pumps
- Knowledgeable in BS 7671 and electrical testing
- Organised, reliable and able to communicate well with customers and colleagues
- Happy to remain hands-on and working on the tools
- Keen to develop within a growing renewable energy business
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds Electrical qualification
- 18th Edition
- Inspection & Testing
- Full UK driving licence
- Proven experience as an electrician

Location
Yorkshire and surrounding areas
This role will involve travelling to customer sites, with the majority of work based across Yorkshire and surrounding areas.
