Electrician - Solar PV Install & O&M
Location: Cornwall
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
The Opportunity
An established renewable energy business is looking for a motivated and experienced Electrician to join its growing team, supporting the installation, operation, and maintenance of renewable energy assets across the UK.
This is a varied, hands-on position covering Solar PV installation, planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, and performance monitoring. The role will suit an experienced electrician who enjoys problem-solving and is comfortable working across multiple renewable energy sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and complete Low Voltage electrical installations associated with Solar PV projects.
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across operational renewable energy sites.
- Monitor and review site performance on a rota basis, including weekend cover.
- Identify, record, and resolve electrical faults using a proactive, methodical approach.
- Analyse site performance and identify opportunities to improve ongoing operation.
- Complete maintenance, fault, and performance reports.
- Travel to project and operational sites throughout the UK as required.

About You
- City & Guilds 2365 Level 2/3, equivalent, or higher.
- City & Guilds 2391 inspection and testing qualification or equivalent.
- BS 7671 18th Edition qualification.
- Minimum 5 years' relevant industry experience.
- Strong electrical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Methodical, accurate, and process-focused approach.
- Good communication, organisational, and IT skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Flexibility to work across the UK, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Desirable
- Experience with Solar PV installation and maintenance.
- Experience with communications systems, set-up, and configuration.
- Exposure to High Voltage installation and maintenance.
- Relevant inverter manufacturer training.
