Electrician
An opportunity has arisen for an Electrician to join a well-established housing organisation, providing property maintenance, repairs and improvement services across residential homes and community facilities.
As an Electrician, you will be carrying out electrical installations, maintenance, testing and repairs while ensuring regulatory compliance and high standards of customer service. This is a mobile role covering the wider operational area, offering a salary of £39,420 and benefits.
You Will Be Responsible For
- Completing electrical installations, rewiring, repairs and new circuit works across domestic and commercial properties.
- Working from drawings and specifications and sourcing the materials required for each job.
- Carrying out electrical inspection, testing and certification, including installation and condition reports.
- Testing and maintaining fire alarms, smoke alarms and emergency lighting systems.
- Installing, maintaining and fault-finding heating controls and door entry systems.
- Completing planned and cyclical testing in line with current regulations and maintaining accurate records.
- Diagnosing faults and completing repairs safely, efficiently and within required timescales.
- Driving an allocated works vehicle and completing daily vehicle safety checks.
- Recording labour, materials and equipment used accurately.

What We Are Looking For
- Previously worked as an Electrician or in a similar role.
- Experience of inspecting and testing electrical installations, including condition and installation certification.
- NVQ Level 3.
- AM2 certification in Electrotechnical Occupational Competence or equivalent.
- 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations.
- City and Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395, or an equivalent Inspection and Testing qualification.
- Completed apprenticeship in Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment or equivalent.
- Full UK driving licence.
