Join Hotham’s Electrical Team and play a vital role in keeping the mountain operating safely, efficiently, and reliably year-round. In this hands-on role, you’ll work across lifts, snowmaking systems, and resort electrical infrastructure, applying your technical expertise in a fast-paced alpine environment while supporting unforgettable guest experiences.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Maintain and repair ski lifts, conveyors, snowmaking plant, and associated electrical systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance and fault-finding across resort infrastructure
  • Respond to breakdowns and emergency callouts to restore safe operations
  • Install, test, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems
  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
  • Work closely with teams across the mountain to support daily operations
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards, codes, and procedures
  • Embrace new technologies and continuous learning to keep systems running smoothly

What We’re Looking For

  • A Certificate III in Electrotechnology
  • A current driver's licence
  • Experience and confidence working at heights is advantageous
  • Experience with complex control and automation systems, pump operations and controls (three and single phase), and Fibre Optics
  • Skilled, safety-focused electrician with strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, physical capability, and a proactive approach
  • Reliable, adaptable team member with clear communication, strong time management, and the ability to work under pressure or independently.
