Qualified Electrician – Solar PV
Location: South Wales – working across South Wales
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £45,000 per annum + performance-related bonus
We are looking for an experienced and qualified Electrician with proven Solar PV experience to join a growing renewables team working on high-quality installations across South Wales.
The role is primarily focused on Solar PV installation, testing and commissioning, with some involvement in electrical works associated with Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) projects.
This is a permanent position offering a consistent, well-planned workload, a professional working environment and the opportunity to develop your own apprentice or electrical mate.
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical and renewable energy installations while maintaining excellent standards of safety, workmanship and compliance.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Installing, testing and commissioning Solar PV systems
- Carrying out electrical works associated with renewable energy installations
- Supporting the electrical elements of ASHP installations where required
- Completing testing, inspection and relevant certification
- Fault finding, remedial works and maintenance
- Working in accordance with BS 7671 and manufacturer requirements
- Maintaining high standards of health & safety across all sites
- Ensuring all work is completed to a consistently high standard
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Testing & Inspection qualification – 2391, 2394/2395 or equivalent
- Proven experience installing Solar PV systems – essential
- Strong electrical installation and fault-finding skills
- High standards of workmanship and attention to detail
- Good understanding of site health & safety
- Full UK driving licence

Desirable
- Solar PV-specific qualifications
- Experience with ASHP or other renewable technologies
- ECS / CSCS card
- Own apprentice or electrical mate who could work alongside you
