Job Opportunity for Electricians
This is a fantastic opportunity for Electricians with a minimum of a recognised Level 3 Electrical Installation Qualification to join Marshall Land Systems (https://marshalladg.com/) performing the assembly, installation and build of electrical systems and communication systems within deployable infrastructure containerised products based at their new site in Merthyr Tydfil (postcode is CF48 4DR). Assessment days are due to take place early September and there are contract and permanent roles available.
40 hours a week 7am - 4pm Monday - Thursday & 7am - 1pm Friday
Core Responsibilities
The role involves but is not limited to the following:

Electrical Build and Installation
- Manufacturing and installing electrical circuits and communication systems into mobile workspaces and various electrical products and equipment.
- Execute a range of wire-related tasks, including:
- Looming, Crimping, Braiding, Soldering, Wire cutting, preparation and termination, Cable identification, Fibre Optic installation

Quality and Compliance
- Ensure all work complies with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations), internal quality standards and standardisations.
- Follow company production procedures and engineering instructions precisely.
- Complete assigned work within the allocated time while maintaining accuracy and quality.
- Reference IPC-A-620 Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies when installing cable harnesses and looms.

Health, Safety & Environment
- Work in line with MADG Health and Safety Management Systems.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment is maintained in accordance with 5S principles.
- Use all required PPE correctly and report any H&S concerns immediately to your Team Leader, Supervisor or Manager.

Continuous Improvement
- Engage actively in continuous improvement activities, including Lean principles and 5S practices.
- Maintain organisation and efficiency within the work area to support productivity and compliance.
- Participate in production meetings when required to support communication and workflow.

Administration & Communication
- Accurately log job bookings and progress using the IFS ERP system.
- Maintain documentation such as Build Record Cards required for traceability, quality control, and production tracking.
- Ensure all supplementary compulsive training is completed in a timely fashion
Expectations and Standards
- Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work.
- Operate as a collaborative member of the production team, supporting colleagues and contributing to team goals.
- Be adaptable to varying project requirements and flexible with tasks as directed by management.
- Proactively raise any issues that may affect quality, safety, or delivery timescales.
- Adhere to BS 7671 IET Wiring Regulations

Required Competencies
- A minimum of a recognised Level 3 Electrical Installation Qualification.
- Ability to interpret and work from engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and technical documentation.
- Proficient in electrical wiring and fitting techniques relevant to the role.
- Familiarity with working in a production or assembly environment with high standards of safety and quality.

Other core services include the integration of complex systems into a range of vehicles for use by the military and security services including explosive ordnance disposal and battlefield ambulances all underpinned by a full in-life managed service provision to ensure customers' equipment is available where and when they need it.
Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work suitable candidates will be baseline level (BPSS) clearable or eligible for this level of clearance.
