The team is composed of engineers with extensive Ericsson and Nokia network rollout experience, covering decommissioning, installation, commissioning, integration, electrical, and rigging activities. Despite being a young company, A1 has quickly established a strong reputation in the UK mobile telecommunications market. The organization consistently delivers successful projects across all major UK mobile network operators, providing opportunities to work on varied and technically challenging assignments.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Electrician role based in the Greater Reading Area. The Electrician will support mobile network rollout projects by performing electrical installation, testing, and maintenance on telecommunications infrastructure and associated equipment. - Wiring and cabling
- Panel and distribution board work
- Fault diagnosis and repair

The role also involves:
- Collaborating with engineers and rigging teams on site
- Preparing accurate documentation
- Participating in commissioning and integration activities as required
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong foundational knowledge of electricity and safe electrical practices.
- Candidates should possess practical electrical work skills, including installation, wiring, and equipment setup.
- Candidates should possess maintenance and repair abilities for electrical systems and components.
- Candidates should possess troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving electrical faults.
- Candidates should possess understanding of electrical engineering principles relevant to telecommunications infrastructure.
- Recognized electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) and valid industry certifications.
- Proven experience as an electrician, ideally within telecommunications, construction, or industrial environments.
- Commitment to health and safety, including familiarity with UK electrical and site safety regulations.
- Ability to work at height or on towers (where required), with appropriate training and medical clearance.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently on site.
