SC Cleared Electromagnetic Engineering/Digital Engineering Manager - £Inside IR35 DOE 3 months+ - Hybrid working of 2 days per week in Berkshire with rest from home
About the Role
Looking for an SC Cleared Senior Electromagnetic Engineering/Digital Engineering Manager who will lead the development and delivery of digital engineering capabilities supporting electromagnetic engineering.
This is a hybrid role combining electromagnetic engineering knowledge, systems engineering, digital engineering and delivery leadership. You will work with technical teams and technology partners to improve the tools, systems and digital environments used across complex engineering programmes.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Shaping and delivering a roadmap for electromagnetic engineering digital capabilities.
- Working with engineering teams to understand requirements and translate them into practical technology solutions.
- Supporting the development and integration of modelling, simulation, analysis and engineering data environments.
- Providing technical direction across areas such as RF, EMC, antennas, electromagnetic modelling and related engineering disciplines.
- Managing suppliers, stakeholders, budgets, risks and delivery priorities.
- Improving the integration, traceability and management of engineering data throughout the product lifecycle.
- Supporting the adoption of new tools, technologies and engineering processes.

- Electromagnetic, RF, systems or electronic engineering.
- Digital engineering, engineering systems or simulation environments.
- Aerospace, defence or another highly regulated engineering sector.
- Technical leadership and delivery of complex engineering programmes.
- Engineering toolsets, modelling/simulation or technology integration.
- Stakeholder and supplier management.
Experience across RCS/EM modelling, RF systems, EMC, antennas, EW, simulation or engineering digitalisation would be particularly relevant.
You should be comfortable operating between highly technical engineering teams and senior stakeholders, with the ability to turn complex engineering requirements into clear priorities and deliverable solutions.
About the Company
This temporary contract is inside IR35 and will require working under the direction of the client delivery manager as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The successful candidate will follow established delivery processes and working practices.
This temporary contract is the successful candidate to undergo and be eligible for UK Security Vetting at SC/DV level. Clearance sponsorship will be provided where required. Due to the nature of the work, candidates should meet the relevant residency requirements. If applicable, reserved post nationality restrictions will be confirmed by the client.
