About The Role
An Electron Beam (EB) Welding Production Technician position is available in Aylesbury, offering a permanent contract with a salary between £46,000 and £55,000. Joining a specialist aerospace production team, you will undertake precision assembly, integration, and testing of devices within a Class 8 cleanroom environment. The role suits a mechanical fitter with an apprenticeship background, particularly someone familiar with fluidic components such as solenoid valves, flow control valves, or cold gas thrusters. Responsibilities include performing precise assembly and test work, with training provided to develop your skills. Extended working hours may be necessary to meet production targets. Cleanroom Production Technician
Required to join a precision aerospace production team to work in a cleanroom environment on the assembly, integration, and testing of aerospace devices.
Our international Aerospace and Defence client is going through a continued period of expansion and looking for Precision Mechanical Assembly Technicians. The ideal candidate will have experience as a Mechanical Fitter, ideally through an apprenticeship, with exposure to the following: non-return valves, flow control valves, solenoid valves, cold gas thrusters, or any fluidic components for the space industry.
Training and skills development will be provided; extended working hours may be required to meet production targets.

- Precision assembly and test activities in a Class 8 cleanroom.
- Testing the integrity of assembled systems using high-pressure gases and leak detection equipment such as helium mass spectrometers.
- Cleaning components in preparation for assembly and test activities using automatic particle counting equipment and patch sample counting techniques.
- Electrical testing.
- Gas flow testing of valves, thrusters, and fluidic components to ensure components are within tolerance prior to assembly.
- Digital voltmeters, oscilloscopes, data acquisition systems, high voltage dielectric, and insulation resistance test equipment.
- Material joining processes including manual TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding, orbital welding, and compiling weld inspection reports on parts and test pieces.
