Working Pattern: Hybrid
Benefits: Benefits at Ideagen
Salary: To be discussed at next stage

At Ideagen Wearable Safety, we're developing technology that helps prevent life-changing injuries in high-risk industries. As we embark on the development of our next-generation industrial wearable platform, we're looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer to lead the hardware design of innovative connected safety solutions.

This is more than an electronics design role. You'll play a key part in shaping product architecture, leading hardware development and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring new products from concept through to manufacture and release.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the hardware design and development of new and existing wearable safety products from concept through to production.
  • Define system architectures and create schematic designs incorporating sensors, microcontrollers, RFID, Bluetooth, UWB, cellular communications and power management technologies.
  • Own PCB layout and design activities, ensuring products meet performance, quality and manufacturing requirements.
  • Collaborate with firmware, software, mechanical and test engineers to deliver integrated product solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance to manufacturing partners and external suppliers throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Define and support product qualification, certification and compliance activities including EMC, radio and safety testing.
  • Maintain robust design documentation, reviews and change control processes in line with ISO9001 requirements.
  • Support product validation, troubleshooting and continuous improvement to enhance product performance and reliability.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
