At Embla Medical, Life Without Limitations is more than a slogan. It's our purpose.
Every day, the technologies we develop help people regain independence, return to work, pursue careers, enjoy hobbies and confidently participate in everyday life.
Creating that impact starts long before a product reaches a patient. It starts with the engineers who design, develop and continuously improve the technologies that make it possible. In Livingston, our Electronics team plays a key role in that mission.
Together, they develop advanced upper-limb prosthetic solutions, including bionic hands and robotic wrist systems that help redefine what's possible for people living with limb loss.
We're looking for an Electronic Engineer m/f to join that team. One of our engineers is moving on after several years with us, creating an opportunity for somebody new to make their mark.
What you'll be doing
As part of a small and highly collaborative team, you'll contribute across the full product lifecycle, working on a broad range of technologies and challenges rather than being limited to a single area of expertise.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
