Electronics & Software Manager | Engineering Leadership | Cornwall
I'm currently partnering with a global engineering and technology business that is looking to appoint an Electronics & Software Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team delivering the next generation of innovative products used in highly regulated and mission-critical industries.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineering leader who enjoys developing people, driving technical excellence, and influencing the direction of new product innovation.
The Opportunity
As Electronics & Software Manager, you'll lead a talented team responsible for electronics, embedded software, application software, and user interface development. You'll play a key role in bringing new products from concept through to launch, working closely with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, and commercial teams.
This position offers a genuine opportunity to shape future technology strategy while building and developing a high-performing engineering function.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop a multidisciplinary electronics and software engineering team
- Drive delivery of electronics and software activities across new product development programmes
- Provide technical leadership across electronics architecture, embedded systems, software development, and integration
- Ensure robust engineering processes, verification, validation, and quality standards are maintained
- Collaborate with mechanical engineering, manufacturing, quality, compliance, and project management teams
- Manage resources, priorities, risks, and project delivery across multiple programmes
- Champion continuous improvement, innovation, and technical excellence

- Experience leading electronics, embedded software, or software engineering teams
- A background in complex product development environments
- Strong people leadership and coaching capability
- Experience working on integrated hardware and software products
- Knowledge of structured engineering development processes, verification, and validation activities
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- A pragmatic, delivery-focused approach combined with a passion for innovation
