Well established Glasgow based client looking to add experienced cleanroom electronics assembly operators / technicians to their manufacturing team
This role is essential in supporting the successful development and production of new electronic products, ensuring that assembly processes meet quality standards and project timelines.
Role requires strong technical skills and ability to:
Duties
- Assemble electronic components, PCBs and subassemblies using hand tools, power tools, and surface mount technology (SMT) soldering equipment according to detailed work instructions and engineering specifications.
- Conduct testing and troubleshooting on assembled units to verify functionality and identify issues.
- Assist in the setup, calibration, and maintenance of assembly equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow strict quality control procedures, including inspection of components and finished assemblies for defects or inconsistencies.
- Document assembly processes, test results, and any deviations accurately in accordance with company protocols.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for process enhancements and efficiency gains.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams during product development phases to refine assembly methods.

- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and mechanical knowledge necessary for precise assembly tasks.
- Experience working with surface mount technology (SMT) components and techniques soldering fine pitch components / caps and resistors under scopes preferably to IPC standard.
- Mechanical aptitude to support assembly of complex electronic devices.
- Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively within a manufacturing setting.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and adherence to safety standards.
