Mission
Every month, drones injure and kill thousands of Ukrainians. Munin builds point-defense systems to stop them. Our first product is a hand-launched micro-missile designed to intercept small drones at close range. It is small enough to carry three in a vest and cheap enough for mass deployment. Our goal is to change the battlefield in Ukraine through very high-volume production, then deliver proven systems to NATO.
Role Summary
You will work directly alongside the founding team to design and build the electronics that go into our systems, from schematic to shipped units, and the production line that builds them. You will be expected to use AI tooling as a core part of how you work, not an afterthought. The hardware and systems you build will be used on the front lines.
You should expect to relocate to Kyiv soon after joining and work mostly from there, with some time in the UK. There, you will work alongside the engineering team and incorporate feedback from Ukrainian soldiers in the field. You will not operate near front-line areas. Work in Ukraine is conditional on a stable security situation.
What you will do
- Own the electronics architecture; component selection, and the trade-offs between cost, availability, performance, and reliability.
- Design mixed-signal PCBs in KiCad: schematic, layout, DFM, all the way into mass production.
- Design and integrate embedded Linux compute; SoM and carrier board design, DDR and high-speed routing, boot and power sequencing
- Own electronics assembly and QA on the line: define the stations, test gates and serialization, then drive down assembly time and drive up first-pass yield. You will be responsible for integrating electronics build and test into our existing assembly lines from the start.

What we're looking for
- You are the kind of engineer who has side projects running at all times, gets frustrated when tools don't exist and then builds them, and would rather ship something imperfect today than wait for perfect requirements.
- Proven ability to take electronics from concepts to working hardware in volume
- Comfortable owning ambiguous problems with no existing design to inherit
- Strong product instinct - you listen to the team and build what's needed.
- Strong hands on electronics skills - soldering, rework, deadbugging, etc.
- Use AI tooling actively to move faster and multiply output.
- High personal drive and tolerance for fast-paced, intense working.

Credibility
In four months, we went from concept to a robust missile prototype that is smaller and cheaper than any missile, can be fired with one hand and reliably intercepts FPV drones. Recent work includes:
- Working with the Ukrainian armed forces to go from pre-idea to warhead design, production and live-fire testing in 24 hours
- Car-mounted missile testing at 200 km/h
- Building an air cannon in two days, then destructively testing 50 missiles to diagnose a hardware issue
- Six launches in a single day, with design iterations between each launch
