Role Overview

Due to ongoing programme expansion and strategic growth, Our Client is seeking a skilled Electronics Engineer to join their highly experienced engineering team. Your expertise will be integral to developing innovative electronic systems for spacecraft, contributing strategically to the design and realisation of crucial technological components. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electronic circuits suited for spacecraft environments, including device selection, schematic capture, and documentation.
  • Carry out circuit simulations, testing, and validation to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Collaborate closely with PCB designers to translate electronic schematics into manufacturable layouts.
  • Prepare detailed design documentation to support project transparency and regulatory compliance.
  • Analyse technical requirements and translate them into practical electronic solutions.
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous process improvements.
  • Support prototype development, testing, and troubleshooting phases.
  • Engage with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate electronic systems within larger spacecraft architectures.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • A first-class or equivalent degree in Electronics Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Minimum of two years' professional experience in electronic circuit design within an industrial setting.
  • Proven track record of designing robust electronic systems for complex applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality assurance processes.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in collaborative team environments.
  • Skilled in producing comprehensive and precise design documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Sound mathematical and analytical capabilities.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Prior experience working on spacecraft or space-related electronic systems.
  • Expertise in high-speed digital circuit design and high-reliability electronics.
  • Experience with power supply design, particularly for FPGAs or other high-performance components.
  • Knowledge of digital signal processing, image processing, and data communication systems.
  • Familiarity with integrating processing devices with high data-rate communication peripherals.
  • Experience in designing for high reliability and fault-tolerant systems.
